My name is Nicholas Junkas and I’m a senior at Bradley University majoring in Game Design and minoring in Computer Science. Through my time at Bradley, I have been involved in many different projects and collaborated with a wide range of disciplines. Currently, I am working within a team of 26 people to create a project titled SoulSync City.
As a designer, I am always striving towards excellent communication, attention to detail, and a strong problem-solving mindset. I believe in collaborative discourse among team members, but also leaving ego at the front door. Rather than solely analyze what popular games are doing, I also attempt at examining why. By dissecting elements that contribute to fun in games, I aim to create something fresh and innovative. Furthermore, although I’m open to exploring any type of game, I particularly like games that focus on player agency and emergent gameplay.
I have expertise in various software, including game engines like Unity and Unreal, multimedia programs in the Adobe Creative Cloud, source control tools such as GitHub, and project management tools like Jira, Trello, and Confluence.
In my free time, if I’m not busy prototyping new game project ideas, I can be found watching films or engaged in music production.
